MEETING NOTICE

The autumn general membership meeting of the Historical Society of Tacony will be held on Monday, November 13th at 6:30 PM at Holy Innocents- Saint Paul's Episcopal Church at 7001 Torresdale Avenue.  A slide presentation will be featured with historian Patty McCarthy about one of the most prominent families of early Tacony-- the Lardners.  Find out why a local street, park and municipal pumping station bear the Lardner name.  Light refreshments will be served.  Topics of discussion include the availability of historic house plaques for 2024.  Seen above is an old image of the corner of Hegerman Street and Tyson Avenue, just down the block from the meeting location.
