The Tacony United Methodist Church

The genesis of the Tacony United Methodist Church, formerly known as the Tacony Methodist Episcopal (M. E.) Church, can be traced to fifteen years before the official founding of the congregation. Three young men from Bridesburg sought to fill a void in this slowly emerging community to serve the needs of the local children in gaining valuable early religious influence of Protestant Sabbath School fellowship and training.
